CONCEPT & BASIC POLICY OF THE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
琉球大学病院は、「病める人の立場に立った、質の高い医療を提供するとともに、地域・社会に貢献する優れた医療人を育成する。」という理念を掲げ、

を大学病院の基本方針としています。
本院は、平成19年3月にエイズ診療拠点病院に、平成20年2月には都道府県がん診療連携拠点病院として、平成21年11月には沖縄県肝疾患診療連携拠点病院として指定を受け、沖縄県における県内唯一の特定機能病院として、感染症やがん治療などを中心に高度医療および地域医療を担い、その使命と役割を果たすとともに、東南アジア地域における医療拠点としての貢献を目指しています。
At the University Hospital, we aim to provide high quality healthcare from the patients’ prospective and train excellent medical professionals and staff to have the ability to contribute to society.

University Hospital was appointed the community AIDS Clinical Center in March 2007, the landmark Hospital in Okinawa for cancer therapy in February 2008, the center for liver diseases in November 2009, and medical care in remote areas in March 2011. As the Special Functioning Hospital in Okinawa, we provide high quality and advanced medical care, especially in the fields of infectious diseases, cancer and lifestyle-related diseases. We have demonstrated a firm commitment to provide innovative and advanced medical care. While performing these missions and roles, we also aim to contribute to improving healthcare and medical treatment as the leading hospital in Southeast Asia.
